- Qualification
- ・Anyone who has the ability to be a player of a professional orchestra, regardless of age and nationality.

- Application
- Please Email your resume with the recommendation letter to audition@tmso.or.jp by 5:00pm Friday, January 24, 2025, Japan local time.
*The resume will be used solely for the purpose of the audition and will not be returned.

- Screening

①Document screening
・Resume: Use the format specified by TMSO. (Resume should have your photo attached, should include names of teachers and musical experiences.)
・1 (one) Letter of Recommendation
*If the letter of recommendation are in languages other than Japanese and are hand-written, please attach typed-out copies.

★Results for the document screening will be notified by email by Friday, February 21, 2025.
(Notification for 1st round audition schedule and orchestra excerpts will be sent to successful applicants of the document screening)

*To be engaged in the services of TMSO (In principle within 5 months period)
*Fee is provided in accordance with TMSO regulation

- Audition Venues
- ② and ③ Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, TMSO rehearsal studio
④ Respective concert halls where TMSO concerts are held

- Notification for Results
- ・Results for 1st round audition will be notified on Thursday, March 27, 2025
・Results for 2nd round audition will be notified on Friday, March 28, 2025
・Results for aptitude evaluation will be notified immediately after screening.
Final decision of the audition will be made within the 5 month of the trial period.
Candidate will be notified immediately after the decision is made.

- Interview
- ・Held for applicants by the executives of the TMSO management before or after the trial period.

- Terms of employment
- ・Salary will be on an annual salary scheme in accordance with the TMSO regulation.
- Three(3)-year contract with renewal.
- No retirement allowance provided.
・Commuting allowance, expenses for expendables, maintenance, and repairs of instruments are provided.
・Social Insurance (health insurance, employees pension insurance, employment insurance) provided
*For candidate who cannot begin work immediately because of being a student or for any other reasons may consult.

- Others
- ・Applicants should engage his/her own accompanist for the 1st Round Audition and 2nd Round Audition. For applicants who have difficulties engaging his/her accompanist due to coming from abroad or outside of Tokyo, TMSO will arrange an accompanist.
In such case, please be sure to state in the accompanist column of the resume.
・Applicants should be responsible for his/her expenses for transportation, travel and accommodation.
