ConcertDue to physical reasons, Maestro Krzysztof PENDERECKI will not be able to conduct the entire concert and Penderecki’s “Prelude for Peace” will be conducted by Mr. Maciej TWOREK, Maestro PENDERECKI’s assistant.

Maciej TWOREK, Conductor
Maciej TWOREK studied the piano, choral and conducting at the Academy of Music in Kraków. In 2002 he began a conducting collaboration with Krzysztof Penderecki, which lasts to this day. It has come to fruition in numerous projects, including the recording of Penderecki’s complete symphonies and the Violin Concerto No. 2 “Metamorphosen” with soloist Anne-Sophie Mutter and the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, and the Sinfonia Varsovia.
Tworek has performed in Europe, Asia, and both North and South America, conducting Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, NDR Radiofilharmonie, Deutsche Radio Philharmonie, MDR Sinfonie Orchester, Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia among others.
