Kazuhiro Koizumi studied at Tokyo University of the Arts and at Universität der Künste Berlin. After winning the 1st prize at Karajan International Conducting Competition in 1973, he has appeared with Berliner Philharmoniker, Wiener Philharmoniker, Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France, Chicago Symphony, Boston Symphony, and Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, among others. Currently, he serves as Honorary Conductor for Life of TMSO, Music Director of Kyushu Symphony, Honorary Music Director of Nagoya Philharmonic, and Special Guest Conductor of Kanagawa Philharmonic.
Michel DALBERTO (Piano)
Born in Paris, Michel Dalberto studied with Vlado Perlemuter at the Conservatoire. After winning both the Clara Haskil and the Leeds international piano competitions, he has performed with leading orchestras including Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre national de France, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Wiener Symphoniker, WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln, London Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of such as C. Davis, Sawallisch, Masur, Slatkin, Janowski, Herbig, N. Järvi, Inbal, Dutoit and Temirkanov.
He is the only living pianist to have recorded the complete Schubert’s piano works. Recent recordings are Liszt, Debussy, Fauré, Ravel and Beethoven.
He was president of the jury of the Clara Haskil Competition from 1991 to 2009 and is on the board of the committee. He was professor at the Paris Conservatoire and was awarded Knight of the “Ordre National du Mérite” by the French government in 1996.
